What Is Sealcoating?
Sealcoating (sometimes referred to as pavement sealing) is the process of applying a protective coating over existing asphalt surfaces. This coat acts as a barrier that prevents water, oil, gasoline, and ultraviolet rays (UV) from seeping into the pavement and accelerating deterioration.Â
Over time, wear and tear cause asphalt to become dry, brittle, and cracked, resulting in costly repairs or the need for resurfacing.
At RDC Paving, our sealcoat is a carefully formulated blend of emulsified asphalt, fine mineral aggregates, and polymer additives to ensure strong adhesion and flexible performance. It is applied to thoroughly coat the surface, enhancing durability and restoring a rich, uniform black finish.
