Asphalt Sealcoating

Asphalt Sealcoating Services in Austin

It’s probably smart if we get the number one question out of the way right up front. What is sealcoating, and why should I bother?

Asphalt Sealcoating — Why You Should Care

Well, to answer that we should talk about Texas and its pretty harsh weather. If you live anywhere around Greater Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, Pflugerville and Leander, you’re probably no stranger to hot days and plenty of rain.

We get both here, and lots of it.

While asphalt is tough stuff, UV radiation and the constant barrage of rainfall will eventually cause it to degrade. First you’ll get small cracks forming as asphalt rapidly heats and cools.

Then, rain will get in and widen that crack bit by bit until you’re dealing with a big, nasty old fissure. Ignore that for too long and you have a pothole; at which point you’re staring down the barrel of a costly repair job.

Sealcoating is important because it protects asphalt from sun, rain, and the general wear and tear any paved surface is going to get over time.

Here’s How it Works

Asphalt sealcoating is just that! It’s a coat of asphalt which seals it. A layer of sealing material consisting of specially constituted asphalt and polymer is sprayed over your existing asphalt paving. It’s then carefully pressed into the existing paved surface, creating a strong, long-lasting seal against the elements.

There are two outstanding things about asphalt sealcoating.

1. It’s relatively inexpensive.
2. It can be done quickly and efficiently by a team equipped with the right tools. (That’s us!)

Sealcoating — The Benefits

So now you know what sealcoating is, and that it’s a cheap and easy way to keep your asphalt paving protected from the Texas elements and looking fresh as the day it was installed. But here’s the big reason to add asphalt sealcoating to your paving maintenance schedule.

It’ll save you serious money.

One sealcoating is likely to add up to five years to the operational life of your asphalt. If you get sealcoating done fairly regularly, you can add decades to the life of your asphalt paving, saving you big money in the long run!

It’s one of the best ways you can protect your paving investment.

Other Asphalt Paving Maintenance Services

We also offer a range of additional smaller maintenance services, such as crack filling, patching, milling and overlays.

If you see a small problem with your paving, the key thing to remember is that paving maintenance is a bit like going to the dentist. If you do it regularly and as soon as you notice little problems, you can save yourself big problems further down the line.

So What Are Ya Waiting For!? Give Us a Call!

If your based around Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, San Marcos, Pflugerville or Leander, and need any kind of basic paving maintenance done, we’ll be delighted to help! We’re friendly, reliable and know our business better than anyone.

Best of all, with RDC Paving you’ll always have the information you need to make smart decisions about your paving. All our maintenance work is built around an accurate and comprehensive cost-estimate and a detailed site assessment.
